PATRICK Mahomes, 30, has spoken out as Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy nears his return.
The 22-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder during the Chiefs‘ Week 1 27-21 loss against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Worthy had collided with teammate Travis Kelce, 35, and was ruled out of the game.
Chiefs’ medics rushed to the field to assist the receiver as he fell to the floor.
He subsequently missed the Chiefs’ 20-17 defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2.
The second-year receiver has since returned to practice with his teammates.
Quarterback Mahomes has been optimistic about the receiver’s chances of an early return.
“Having him out there is just a threat in general,” Mahomes said.
“Having him on the practice field was very encouraging last week.”
This suggests that Worthy could be in line for a start as the Chiefs take on the New York Giants.
Both sides enter this Sunday’s the game winless.
New York-based ESPN star Don La Greca, 57, has suggested that the result could be fixed by NFL organisers to end the Chiefs’ losing streak.
