A FASHION retail giant is opening 12 new stores across seven states this month, and two are already welcoming shoppers.
Nordstrom will open the locations between September 18 and October 30.

This comes after a year of turbulence for the company that saw it close down multiple locations.
Nordstrom is opening stores across Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Massachusetts, New York and Texas.
The first two store openings on September 8 were in Longmont, Colorado and Coral Springs, Florida.
And the final openings on October 30 are set for Lake Grove, New York and Prosper, Texas.
Nordstrom previously announced in July that it would be opening new locations in 2026, too.
The company is coming to the El Camino Promenade in Encinitas, California, in spring 2026.
Gemma Lionello, President of Nordstrom Rack, praised the community that the company would be joining in a statement.
She said: We look forward to being a part of the Encinitas community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices.
“We’re excited to grow our footprint in the San Diego market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience.”
Nordstrom already operates 26 normal format stores and 68 Nordstrom Rack stores in California.
CLOSURES
Nordstrom has closed several stores this year.
This included a store at The Saint Louis Galleria in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 24 and at the Santa Monica Place in California, two days later on August 26.
The company said that a lot of the stores that closed had struggled since the pandemic.
Nordstrom had promised to help its employees who were affected at the Missouri and California stores.
