MCONDLAD’S is bringing back its Monopoly promotion for the first time in 10 years.
The beloved game is returning to the fast food chain this fall, but fans will need to be more familiar with the app if they want to claim prizes.

McDonald’s announced the return of its Monopoly promotion on its Instagram page and urged diners to download the app to join in this year.
No official date has been given for when fans can expect to see the Monopoly mascot back.
But according to the chain’s social media account, it will be back sometime in October.
Fans have responded with glee at the thought of it in the comment section of the post and expressed their excitement for the Monopoly return.
One person wrote, referencing the new way to claim on the app: “Gen Z can finally participate in this.”
And another said: “Can’t wait.”

PRICE CUT
Alongside this, the chain has slashed the prices on eight of its most popular combo meals.
The lower prices came into effect at the start of September.
The move came as a direct response to criticism that the prices of some of its staples, like the Big Mac, were too expensive.
The combo meals that have been reduced include those featuring the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Chicken McNuggets, McCrispy, Egg McMuffin and other breakfast sandwiches.
As reported by The Wall Street Journal, McDonald’s reached an agreement with its franchisees to keep the cost of the eight meals 15% below the sum of the individual items’ prices.
McDonald’s will also be running an Extra Value Meals promotional deal later in the year.
This will reduce the prices on a $5 breakfast and $8 Big Mac and McNugget combo meal.

EVERYDAY VALUE, AT A PRICE
Franchisees have previously argued that the rising operating costs forced them to charge higher prices.
To get its franchisees to agree to the meal prices, McDonald’s said it would subsidize the cost itself.
Investors were told in the summer that lower-income families are staying at home more and not eating at McDonald’s.
This is while moderate and high-income families are visiting more often.
McDonald’s hopes that the reduced prices will help even this out.
McDonald’s Chief Executive Chris Kempczinski emphasized how important value is for customers in a statement.
He said: “The single biggest driver of what shapes a consumer’s overall perception of McDonald’s value is the menu board.”
