FORMER anchor Don Lemon raged that he was “ambushed” on air by being forced to watch the clip that got him fired from his CNN gig.
Lemon’s appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored went sour when the interview spiraled into an unhinged shouting match on Thursday.

Morgan and Lemon were discussing censorship when the former CNN star was asked about his sudden exit from the network in 2023.
Lemon immediately lashed out at Morgan and said he wasn’t brought on the show to speak about his former job of 17 years.
He complained that he came on the show to talk about freedom of speech in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination and wouldn’t have agreed to interview if he knew he would be used as an example.
Morgan asked Lemon if he felt he was a victim of cancel culture after he was dismissed two months after making inappropriate comments about former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley.
Lemon stammered out, “Probably yes. I’m sure that I was a victim of cancel culture.”
Morgan then played a clip of Lemon being scolded on air in February 2023 after he made a misogynistic remark about Haley.
“Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime. Sorry,” Lemon sneered in the dated clip, before he was called out by his colleagues.
“When a woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s and 30s and maybe 40s– If you Google, ‘When is a woman in her prime?’ it will say, 20s, 30s, and 40s.”
Lemon was visibly unhappy with Morgan after the clip played, especially when the Brit continued his questioning.
“When I asked you what subjects you wanted to talk about, you know what you said to me? You said, ‘I want to talk to you about freedom of speech in America and the response to Charlie Kirk’s death,’” Lemon ranted.
“Not once did you mention that we were going to talk about CNN or whatever, and had I known that, I probably wouldn’t have accepted this interview.”
He continued, “I thought you would stick by the subjects you told me you would talk about rather than try to ambush me with something.
“I don’t appreciate being ambushed here.”
Morgan argued that the two were speaking about cancel culture, which Lemon had brought up.
The discussion then boiled over into a war of words as the two men began yelling over each other.
“What are you talking about?! I think you’re being a complete d**k, if I’m honest with you,” Morgan said.
Lemon responded sarcastically, “Okay, well that’s very kind and respectful of you.”
“OK, well that’s very kind and respectful of you,” Lemon responded sarcastically.
Morgan later wrote on social media that the TV show appearance “didn’t go well.”
“I’m embarrassed for you,” Lemon responded on Instagram.
