FORT PIERRE, SD (KELO) — An emergency shelter in Fort Pierre has closed now that floodwater in Stanley County has begun receding.
The sheriff’s office says public safety officials will continue to monitor the area, and that the shelter will reopen, if needed.
A no-travel advisory has been in effect because several roads are not safe to drive on due to the high water from heavy rain.
