FANS were left bewildered Sunday night as Cris Collinsworth heaped praise upon Patrick Mahomes.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar was in action on Sunday Night Football against the New York Giants.

Towards the end of the second quarter, Mahomes played a lax pass in Isiah Pacheco‘s direction.
The loose delivery landed nowhere near Pacheco, however, and appeared to be a certain turnover.
Mahomes, 30, quickly realised his error, and managed to get over to steal the ball back from Bobby Okereke.
Collinworth, 66, was on the call for the game alongside Mike Tirico.
Rather than dwell on Mahomes’ mistake, the veteran announcer opted to heap praise upon the QB for his recovery.
“I can’t tell you what a good play that is,” Collinsworth began.
“So many quarterbacks would have done nothing here.
“He knew better than anybody this is a bad pass.
“And all of a sudden, that thing is understood immediately and he stole it, that’s a turnover created by Patrick Mahomes!
“Not only does he save the touchdown, but he also got the ball back.”
Plenty of fans were stunned by Collinsworth’s comments.
One wrote on X, “Collinsworth glazing Mahomes after a literal turnover he caused.”
While a second commented, “Glazed for a backwards pass.”
A third posted, “Only Cris Collinsworth would give props to Mahomes on a bad play.”
Another added, “Of course Cris Collinsworth made this sound like the play of the decade.”

The Chiefs went on to win 22-9, their first triumph of the season.
Kansas City’s win endured that they avoided their first 0-3 start in 14 years.
After the game, linebacker Nick Bolton admitted that the Chiefs still have plenty to play for.
“Obviously we didn’t have the start we wanted, but it’s a long season,” the 25-year-old said.
“We’ve been searching for one win and try to figure out how we can get this thing going. The main thing now is just keep working, keep stacking and try to get another, then get another win.”
