DONALD Trump’s first words to Elon Musk in months have been revealed as the pair reconnected on Sunday following an explosive falling out.
Two of the world’s most powerful men had been in a fiery public feud but came back together in a touching moment at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service on Sunday.

Trump was sat with close friend and UFC boss Dana White behind bulletproof glass in a box at State Farm Arena, Arizona.
They had joined over 60,000 mourners in celebrating the life of conservative activist Charlie Kirk who was shot dead earlier this month.
Musk, a vocal supporter of Kirk after his death, was seen taking up a seat next to the US President as he was engaged in a conversation with White.
But as the world’s richest man made his presence known, Trump was quick to turn around and say hello.
Neither men appeared shocked to see each other despite it being the first time they have met in front of the cameras for months.
Trump instantly held out his hand as a smiling Musk happily accepted the president’s kind gesture.
Lip reader Nicola Hickling revealed to the MailOnline that Trump welcomed a conversation as he opened up by asking: “How are you doing?”
Trump then lovingly tapped the Tesla boss on the leg as the pair leant in towards each other to speak some more.
The lip reader said Trump addressed the months of back and forth between the pair instantly as he stated: “So Elon, I’ve heard you wanted to chat.”
The outspoken Republican then suggested: “Let’s try and work out how to get back on track.”
Musk simply nodded in response.
The footage then shows Trump again slapping Musk on the leg as the duo both shared a huge grin.
A gleeful Trump remarked: “I’ve missed you.”
After the Kirk memorial service, Trump told reporters that Musk “came over and said hello” as the pair had a “little conversation”.
Trump added: “We had a very good relationship but it was nice that he came over.”

Trump’s huge fallout with Musk began over the president’s new budget law back in June.
Musk claimed the “Big, Beautiful Bill” – which Trump signed into law on Independence Day – would bankrupt the US.
Musk ranted on X: “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.

Musk was a key Trump advocate in the 2024 US presidential election as he splashed $250m (£187m) to help him regain office[/caption]
“Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.
“It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5trillion and burden American citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt.
“Congress is making America bankrupt.”
Trump then hit back by calling Musk a “bulls*** artist”.
Their feud then quickly escalated.
Trump called Musk a “big-time drug addict” with the US President said to have blasted his ex-backer as reliant on ketamine in phone calls.
Musk even commented on Trump’s link to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Musk had posted, and then swiftly deleted, a bombshell claim that officials have extra information on Trump’s name in the infamous Epstein files.
It triggered an ugly public bust-up, with Musk calling for Trump to be impeached over the association.
The South African born billionaire then suggested he would create his own political party to rival Trump.

The US President sad the move showed Musk had gone “completely off the rails” in a scathing Truth Social post.
Musk would later admit that some of his comments “went too far”.
In the months prior to the fallout, the pair had become close friends.
Musk was a key Trump advocate in the 2024 US presidential election as he splashed $250m (£187m) to help him regain office.
He was later appointed leader of the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), tasked with helping to identify cuts in the federal budget.
Trump and Elon were almost inseparable at one point with the pair pictured together heading to events such as the UFC and Musk’s children even being invited to the White House.
