A DRIVER has unveiled a trade secret that can save motorists hundreds of dollars on electronic screen repairs.
In a YouTube video, the driver fixed a unit that had frozen – using only a toothpick.

He demonstrated the money-saving solution in a 2024 YouTube video captioned “Hidden features of your car”, which included five tips.
In the section on using toothpicks to solve a common issue, the unnamed YouTuber started off by outlining an updated design scheme on all new vehicles.
He said: “All cars now have electronic screens.
“After using it for a very long time it is very stuck and even crashes.
“No need to spend money to fix it.”
Genius move
Then came the genius move.
Rather than delving into an expensive and time-consuming effort to diagnose and fix the screen, he opted for a simpler solution.
His fix bypassed the faulty control unit altogether.
He explained: ”All you need is a toothpick.”
He then proceeded to show viewers how it’s done.
“Aim at the small hole on the screen,” he explained in the video.
“Press and hold for five seconds.
“The screen will restart and work like a new car.”
‘Great help’
Several followers commented on the tip.
These included one who posted: “Thanks brother for your great help and advice I appreciate it.”
In the video, the YouTuber offered car owners several other money-saving tips.
These included advice on opening the doors of a vehicle when the electronic key is out of power and instructions on how to drive a car whose brakes have failed.
Another tip gives drivers advice on how to avoid calling out expensive tow trucks if their car won’t start.
