Dry and warm weather trends ahead for KELOLAND

Good morning KELOLAND! Most of KELOLAND is quiet and dry this morning, but a few thunderstorms rumbled across the southeast overnight.

One of those storms clipped the north side of Sioux Falls. Other storms roamed through SW MN and NW IA last evening. Golf ball size fell in Plymouth County Iowa north of Le Mars.

The upfront forecast shows temperatures in the upper 70s in the Sioux Falls area today.

Futurecast shows the next chance of showers and thunderstorms later today in the southwest. Most of this rain will stay south of I-90 this evening, but don’t be surprise if a couple of cells develop on radar toward Yankton or Sioux City. The forecast looks dry tomorrow, a trend that should last most of the week. Temperatures will remain above normal in the mid 70s to lower 80s.

Temperatures are going to stay above normal the rest of the week, perhaps lasting the rest of the month.

Here are the details of the forecast.
