RASHEE Rice’s suspension update gives the Kansas City Chiefs a major boost after beating the New York Giants.

Rice was sentenced to 30 days in jail earlier this summer following a multi-car crash in the 2024 offseason.

Rice will return for the Chiefs Week 7 game vs Raiders but can return to the facility this week[/caption]

He pleaded guilty to two third-degree felony charges on July 17 of this year.

They were: a collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway causing bodily injury.

The wide receiver was handed a six-game ban that came into fruition at the start of the 2025 NFL season.

Some of his teammates wore t-shirts supporting Rice ahead of their clash with the Philadelphia Eagles.

This included tight end Travis Kelce and Tyquan Thornton.

Despite the ban, it has been announced that Rice will be allowed back to the Chiefs’ facilities after this week.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport stated on X that he won’t be able to train, but can join meetings in preparation for his Week 7 return.

He wrote, “Chiefs WR Rashee Rice, suspended the first 6 games for violating the personal conduct policy, is allowed back in Kansas City’s facility after this week, per the terms of his suspension.

“While he can’t practice, Rice can participate in meetings and ramp up for a W7 return vs the Raiders.”

Kansas City have three games before Rice’s return, however.

They face their fellow AFC team, the Baltimore Ravens, on Sunday for their Week 4 fixture.

They then travel to Jacksonville before hosting the Detroit Lions.

Their Week 7 game against the Las Vegas Raiders will also take place at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs are currently 1-2 after claiming their first victory of the season against the Giants on Sunday.

They lost their season opener 27-21 to the Los Angeles Chargers and a Justin Herbert masterclass before finding themselves 0-2 after a Super Bowl rematch.

Kelce’s end zone fumble led to the Eagles’ game-winning drive, which featured the controversial Tush Push.

The Chiefs finally got their first win on the board in New York, digging in for a 22-9 victory.

Harrison Butker kicked three field goals in the first half before Patrick Mahomes threw his first touchdown.

Tyquan Thornton spectacularly plucked the ball out of the air for a five-yard TD reception before Kareem Hunt forced his way over for another score late on.

Giants QB Russell Wilson had another tricky game, throwing for 160 yards and two interceptions.
