Michael returned to his coach’s chair for his third consecutive season, and after his second-straight win.
The pop star is one of four coaches, including Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, and Snoop Dogg.
Viewers saw many talented artists perform to earn one of the coaches’ 12 slots each, and they proved it wouldn’t be an easy feat.
Some singers didn’t receive any chair turns, while others had only one or two coaches eagerly press their buttons.
This happened during Florida native Peyton Kyle’s performance, in which only Reba expressed interest in working with the singer.
The country star revealed that Peyton’s rendition of Bruno Mars’ Talking to the Moon “touched her heart” and his “sweet” vocals influenced her turn.
Niall and Michael also said his voice blew them away and admitted to making a mistake by not pressing their buttons.
However, Peyton was armed with a comeback after Michael revealed his regret for not vying for the aspiring musician to be on his team.
“Peyton, you sounded great. I don’t know what’s going on with me today,” the Canadian singer confessed.
“That’s okay. You watch,” Peyton snapped back, prompting laughter and cheers throughout the room.
“Respectfully, respectfully,” he backtracked.
Michael looked stunned by Peyton’s response, as he stood up and put his head in his hands.
“Peyton, let’s be careful with each other’s hearts right now, okay?” the actor said, shutting the contestant down.
“Because my heart is tender, and let me tell you, you and I could end up together. So, let’s say nice things to each other.”
The Voice Season 27 Coaches
The Voice has gone through many coaches in its various seasons. Some stay on for a while, while others only stay for one season. Here is who will be coaching Season 27 in 2025.
Adam Levine – Season 1 to 16, 27
John Legend – 16 to 22, 24 to 25, 27
Kelsea Ballerini – 15, Comeback Stage, 20, 27
Michael Buble – 26 and 27
Michael was victorious in the last two seasons, winning first with his team member Sofronio Vasquez in December 2024 and with Adam David in May 2025.
However, his fellow coaches, Reba and Niall, also each have two wins under their belts, making for some tough competition.
Snoop Dogg teased during the premiere that contestants should pick him to help the rapper nab his first win.
The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed in August that this season is likely the Gin and Juice rapper’s last, following “messy” drama that was brought to the set.
A source also revealed that Snoop, being the underdog on the show and yet winning, hasn’t motivated him to continue.
The second night of the blind auditions airs on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. EST on NBC.
