THE Chicago Bears stunned the NFL by breaking out with a huge offensive performance against the Dallas Cowboys.
In a game that the Cowboys were looked at as favorites, the Bears easily took home the win thanks to a breakout performance from Caleb Williams.

The Bears got their first win under new head coach Ben Johnson on Sunday, sinking the Dallas Cowboys even further behind in the NFC East division.
It was a tale of two performances from the get-go, with the Bears offense looking amazing while the Cowboys looked stagnant.
At the same time the Cowboys defense was nowhere to be found without Micah Parsons on the line.
It was a big day for the Bears, but can they keep this momentum going for the rest of the season?
That question and more was answered by The US Sun’s David Scott and Ryan Sanudo.
CALEB’S CANNON
It didn’t take long for Caleb Williams to establish his presence in this game.
In less than five minutes, he found second-year wide receiver Rome Odunze for a huge 35-yard touchdown to open the scoring.
Matched up against Trevon Diggs, Odunze had no trouble shedding his coverage and finding space on a go route down the field.
Williams delivered a perfect pass down the field to secure the touchdown.
GETTING TRICKY
The Bears were doing whatever they wanted against the Cowboys defense, trick plays included.
Late in the first quarter, Ben Johnson broke out the flea-flicker, an awesome trick play.
The Cowboys defense was totally lost on the trick play, with the zone coverage being distracted by the movement behind the line of scrimmage.
Luther Burden III was able to get wide open thanks to the flea-flicker motion, scoring a 65-yard touchdown in the process.
SUPER SNAG
At this point, the game wasn’t totally lost for the Cowboys.
The score stood at 14-6, and the Cowboys drove down the field to the Bears’ two-yard line.
So far this season, the Cowboys have one of the league’s best running backs in the form of Javonte Williams.
However, Dak Prescott looked to his wide receiver, George Pickens instead.
Pickens ran a sort of goal line fade route, getting just enough separation for Prescott to fit a ball in over his shoulder.
From there, Pickens snagged it with one hand to score the touchdown.
The Cowboys tied the game on a two-point conversion, but that would be the last time they would score.
QB COMPARISON
By the time the end of the game rolled around, things weren’t entirely close between the two teams.
Williams and the Bears drastically outperformed Prescott and the Cowboys.
The Bears quarterback had his best game of his career, passing for 298 yards with four touchdowns and no turnovers.
Williams was the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft for a reason, and he is showing that talent so far this year.
He has already passed for 715 yards and leads the NFL with seven passing touchdowns.
On the flip side, Prescott passed for 251 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
He has passed for 800 yards this season, but has only managed three touchdowns and has three interceptions.
DISASTER DEFENSE
The Cowboys defense has a lot of questions to answer after their performance against the Bears.
Chicago did whatever they wanted against the Cowboys, and Williams faced little to no pressure from the Dallas rushers.
It’s easy to point at the departure of Micah Parsons as a huge reason for the Cowboys’ defensive decline.
He has already elevated the Green Bay Packers‘ defense to a new level while the Cowboys are only going in reverse.
It was a silly trade to begin with, and Dallas is going to feel the consequences of it for the entirety of this season.
