FRENCH leader Emmanuel Macron was left stranded in New York when his car was blocked by Donald Trump’s motorcade – before he called the US President for help.
A bizarre video shows Macron phoning Trump jokingly asking him to “clear the road” after leaving the UN headquarters on Monday.

The French President was heard arguing with a police officer when his car was blocked by traffic.
The NYPD cop can be heard telling Macron: “I’m really sorry, Mr President, everything is frozen.”
But Macron then appears to take matters into his own hands and calls Trump himself.
While waiting in the traffic, the French leader is seemingly heard saying to Trump: “Hey, how are you? Guess what, I am waiting in the street because everything is frozen for you, ha!”
However, after several minutes Macron is forced to walk 30 minutes down the street towards the French embassy.
Another video appears to show Macron and his American counterpart still on the phone as he wanders through Manhattan.
He was spotted posing for pictures during his impromptu tour and is even seen being kissed by a man on the head.
The awkward video has gain attraction online, with some discussing the US president’s apparent power play.
One X user wrote: “That’s not just a mix-up — that’s a power signal. When world leaders get parked so Trump can pass, it tells you everything about who commands respect in the room.”
Another added: “Humiliating. The French president stuck on the curb while Trump’s motorcade rolls like a king’s parade.”
The apparent call between the two allies comes after Macron defied the US President to recognise Palestinian statehood.
Macron used his trip to New York to formally recognise the “State of Palestine” in a much-awaited speech at the UN summit.
He warned that peace could no longer wait as, “we are moments away from no longer being able to seize it”.
The duo’s relationship has grown closer since Trump greeted Macron as a “very special man” during their Oval Office meeting in February.
Their first hearty encounter happened outside The White House during the French President’s visit for talks over Ukraine.
The two leaders rekindled their bromance as they shared a lengthy handshake, hugged and laughed – despite their disagreements.
They have a long history of public displays of affection – with a 29-second handshake going viral in the past.
Their legendary handshake was in Brussels in 2017 – the year they both started their first presidential terms- was so intense it left Trump’s hand with white finger marks.
During their meeting, Trump was then seen tapping Macron’s arm as he shared a tale about a meeting in Paris with the French President seen gripping Trump’s hand as he laughed.
