Young actor Priom Gujjar, who has featured in shows such as Shaitani Rasmein, Karmadhikari Shanidev, Kaleerein, etc, will play the lead role in Zee TV’s upcoming show Lakshmi Niwas, produced by Rashmi Sharma Productions. The actor enjoys the festive spirit of Navaratri and takes pride in celebrating the festival with renewed spirit.
On the significance of Navaratri, Priom says, “I feel the festival teaches us the importance and value of women in society. it is dedicated to the divine feminine, known as Shakti or Devi. It commemorates the victory of good over evil and marks a period of spiritual renewal, reflection, and cultural celebration. We worship the nine divine forms of Maa Durga, known as the Navdurgas, during this period.”
Talking about his ethnic taste for the festive season and his shopping ideas, he says, “I enjoy wearing traditional and vibrant ethnic clothing like Kediya-Dhoti sets, kurta-pyjamas, or a kurta with embroidered jackets for the Navratri festival. Recently, I opted for colourful fabrics with festive details like mirror work, embroidery, or Bandhani prints, ensuring the attire is comfortable for dancing during Garba nights. But as I am shooting, I am not sure if I will be able to make it.”
He talks about his routine during Navaratri, stating, “Every morning, I offer my prayers to the Goddess. Also, I try to join the celebrations whenever time permits me.”
Priom is a foodie and cannot resist himself from enjoying the festive spread of delicacies during Navaratri.
Here’s wishing all our readers Happy Navaratri!!
