Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, went undrafted in April.

He was picked up by the Bucs and spent the summer training with the organization.

But he was cut in August and is yet to land on another team.

Sanders worked out with the 49ers on Tuesday, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

There is currently no indication he is close to signing with San Fran, who also worked out five other players as they deal with an injury crisis.

Sanders released a lengthy statement following his departure from the Bucs last month.

He indicated he could pursue a career in modeling or music should he fail to find another NFL team.

“I feel like this is just part of my story to grow and do bigger and better things,” Sanders said after his release.

“Whether it’s finding another team, whether it’s getting another opportunity in the NFL, it is what it is.

“My time being with the Buccaneers has been nothing but great.

“The city, my teammates, my coaches, everybody has poured in love and support toward me and I’ll be forever grateful for that.

“I’ll be talking to my agent and we’re waiting on the next opportunity.

“If that’s in the NFL, cool.

“But God has blessed me with a lot of talent to do things other than football.”

Shilo’s brother Shedeur was a fifth round pick for the Cleveland Browns in April.

Shedeur had been expected to be a first rounder, only for his draft stock to collapse.

He is yet to start for the Browns and looks to be behind fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel in the depth chart.

Gabriel’s potential and positive early signs have led some Browns fans to call for him to start following Joe Flacco’s recent struggles.
