THE high street is awash with burgandy and chocolate tones, cosy knits and weather-proof outerwear – it must be autumn.
And one of our favourites, M&S, is no different.
The store’s autumn and winter collection launched last week, packed with gorgeous garments that will have fashion fans yearning for pay day.
We were lucky enough to be invited along to the brand’s AW25 showcase, getting a sneak peek at the looks that will be gracing the racks in the coming weeks.
And boy are shoppers in for a treat.
From classic coats to stand-out sparkles, there is something for everyone in the new collection.
The M&S team says: “Autumn is a time for rediscovery and we’re here to deliver bold unapologetic style that will *actually* have you looking forward to sweater weather.
“From confident colour block looks to classic checks and the cosiest textures, these are the trends you need to know about. So, let’s go Autumn!”
It was difficult to narrow the collection down to a few favourites – but I have picked five of my top looks from the collection, which will take you from glam at the gym to gorgeous on a girls night out.
GOLD FLECKED GYMWEAR
I’m a recent convert to exercising – hitting 45 and perimenopause means it’s a must.
And for me it’s all about comfort when I work out – but I also want to look stylish on my way to the gym.
These gorgeous, autumnal tan leggings flecked with gold are ideal.
They have a fitted waistband, essential when your stretching, with a bit of glam detailing.
BLACK QUILTED SKIRT AND WAISTCOAT
I am a sucker for a co-ord – and this one is so unusual.
The black quilted material studded with sparkles screams luxury. The skirt is a lovely length, perfect for wearing with tights and boots, and it has pockets – always a big plus point.
The matching waistcoat is adorable, with little ribbon ties. I can imagine this with a fitted polo for a classy office look or even dinner with the gang.
SPARKLY JEANS
Gone are the days when denims only come in black or blue.
In the last few years animal print jeans have been all the rage, with snake and cow prints big for 2025.
But this year embellished trousers are also in, with studs and pearls taking over.
These wide-legged black denims are a great way to elevate a casual look.
Pair them with a chunky knit for a daytime outfit or a more fitted top and heels to take it to nighttime.
GOLD DETAILED KNIT
I wish there was a way to let readers fell how soft this absolute gem of top is.
This fine, cream knit is shot through with gold thread, giving it a high-end sparkle.
It feels like pure quality and would be gorgeous teamed up with a silk skirt for a night out or jeans for a more casual look.
CREAM BORG COAT
Yes, I saved the best for last. I was drawn to this like a moth to a flame as soon as I got into the collection.
Following on from last year’s flutter with fleece, this is a full length version of what was a popular fabric for cropped jackets in winter 2024.
It is super soft and completely luxe, with stand out chunky buttons and cosy pockets.
This stunning coat will elevate any outfit this season.
