Mom of Dallas ICE shooter Joshua Jahn, 29, went scorched earth on gun laws in wild posts years before he killed two

THE mother of the suspected shooter who killed two US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees as they sat in a van outside a facility railed against gun rights years before the disturbing attack.

Joshua Jahn, 29, was named as the gunman who opened fire on the victims and federal workers at a field office in Dallas, Texas, before turning the gun on himself.

The attack appears to be ideologically motivated as the bullets that Jahn used had the words “ANTI-ICE” scrawled on the sides, FBI director Kash Patel said.

The suspect struck three detainees after firing at a van outside the ICE office from the rooftop of a nearby building on Wednesday morning, according to the Dallas Police Department.

The Department of Homeland Security said that two of the victims are dead, while DPD said only one person has died.

Their identities haven’t yet been released.

Years before the attack, Jahn’s mother Sharon Jahn blasted Republican lawmakers for not restricting gun access in the state of Texas, according to Facebook posts seen by The U.S. Sun.

She penned a lengthy letter to Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn and Governor Greg Abbott and blamed them for the Uvalde school shooting which left 21 people dead.

“How does it make you feel that your action to open up gun laws is responsible for the killing of 21 more people?” she wrote one day after the massacre.

“Do you secretly sit in front of a tv and smile a demented smile?”

The outraged mom accused the men of getting “precious blood money” from gun lobbyists and urged them to “stand up” to the National Rifle Association.

“Why have our government officials failed us? Their lust for money and power,” she wrote.

“It is time we vote out spineless tools and bring in people who actually care about others.”

In another post shared that same day, Jahn blasted a tweet written by Abbot where he boasted about having an A rating from the NRA.

“Governor Abbott, you are so proud of that NRA rating aren’t you,” she said.

Two days later, Sharon shared lyrics from the song If We Only Have Love, writing, “If we only have love. We can melt all the guns. And give the new world. To our daughters and sons.”

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Sharon for comment on her posts and Wednesday’s shooting.

SHOOTING HORROR

The DHS said a sniper “fired indiscriminately” at the ICE building before taking aim at the van where the detainees sat.

One picture shared by the federal department shows bullet holes left in a framed American flag that was hung on the walls inside the office.

Jahn was an unemployed former tech worker who grew up in Texas but was recently living in Oklahoma.

According to his brother Noah Jahn, he wasn’t a very political person, he told NBC News.

“He didn’t have strong feelings about ICE as far as I knew,” he told the outlet.

Noah confirmed that their parents owned a rifle and that Jahn knew how to use it. However, he said his brother wasn’t a good shot.
