SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Sioux Falls Police Department provided details on a deadly assault that occurred in a Sioux Falls park earlier this month.
Four people are charged with murder, aggravated assault and robbery in the death of 51-year-old Thomas Fernandez.
Court documents say the group hit, kicked and stomped on the victim at Cherry Rock Park on September 5th. Police say he had visible injuries and died four days later.
The four suspects were originally booked into jail for assault and robbery. They were also indicted on Murder and manslaughter charges on Wednesday.
KELOLAND News reached out to ask when the first hearings following the indictment would be, but they have not been scheduled.
