A CCTV camera outside a dormitory in the Isaan province of Udon Thani captured a Thai man sniffing men’s underwear before leaving on a motorcycle.
The 38 year old Thai man, known as Ball, shared the CCTV footage in a Facebook group for residents in Udon Thani province to warn others and help identify the suspect. The video was posted with the caption:
“This happened in Soi Jintakham. He arrived at the scene on a black Honda Scoopy I. If anyone knows who this man is, please let me know. This gives me goosebumps.”
In the footage, the man can be seen walking directly to a clothing rack, grabbing underwear, and sniffing them one by one before returning them and leaving the scene. He was wearing a motorcycle helmet, a black and red shirt, and black shorts.
Ball told Channel 7 that the incident occurred at around 3.30am yesterday, June 11, while he was preparing ingredients for his restaurant, located outside the dormitory. He saw the man ride his motorcycle into the compound but initially paid little attention.

Shortly afterwards, the man returned to his motorcycle and appeared startled upon noticing Ball. Ball became suspicious and later reviewed footage from his restaurant’s security camera, which revealed the disturbing behaviour.
Ball added that the owner of the clothes did not file a police report, as nothing was stolen. He shared the video on social media solely to raise awareness and warn the public.

In a similar case reported in March, police arrested a Thai man in Chon Buri for stealing women’s underwear. Officers seized 41 stolen garments and also found 86 methamphetamine pills in his possession.
Residents in the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat also encountered an underwear thief in January. The suspect had stolen women’s underwear and was caught peeping on a woman while she was showering, only to fall through the ceiling. His mother later bailed him out, claiming he was suffering from a mental illness.
