TARGET is making three sweeping changes to its operations to prepare shoppers for the upcoming holiday season.
The retailer is getting ready for its biggest Circle Week yet, and is adding services both old and new to its arsenal.

While its competitors like Aldi and Walmart begin selling their own festive items for Halloween, Target is about to hold its deepest sales week ever.
The chain will also allow certain shoppers a whole day’s head start on the deals.
1. CIRCLE WEEK
Target’s next Circle Week is set to take place between October 5 and October 11.
Shoppers can expect new deals every day, starting at 40% off, as well as savings on big brands like Apple.
Adults will be able to find savings on denim, and kids will be able to snag a pair of Converse for 20% off.
Cara Sylvester, executive vice president and chief guest experience officer at Target, hinted at what shoppers can find during Circle Week.
She said: “Target Circle Week is more than just another sale.
“It’s the kickoff to holiday shopping with savings on the styles, trends and essentials guests love to find at Target.”
To mark Circle Week, Target Circle 360 members will get access to all of the deals online and in-store a full 24 hours before anyone else.
2. EXPANDING SERVICES
Target is expanding its delivery services in the US to reach at least 35 of the top 60 metropolitan areas in the United States.
This includes major cities like San Diego, Orlando, and Tampa.
The company will give these people access to its next-day delivery service.
This expansion accounts for 22 cities across the US.
Gretchen McCarthy, chief supply chain and logistics officer at Target, estimated that this will mean 54% of Americans having access to the service.
What is Target Circle 360?

In April, Target launched its first-ever paid membership program, Target Circle 360.
For $99 a year, members get access to the following perks:
- Unlimited, free same-day delivery on orders over $35
- An extra 30 days to return your items
- Free two-day shipping on 100,000s of items
- 5% off in-store and online
- Automatic deals and exclusive partner perks
Target would rely on fulfilment centres as much as it possibly could to improve shipping speeds.
3. CAR TRADE
Finally, Target has revived an old service that allows customers to trade in old car seats.
When they do this, they will receive a major discount on a new one at Target.
Shoppers can trade them in even if they are broken or damaged, and receive a 20% discount on a new one.
Eligible trade-in items include infant car seats, convertible car seats, car seat bases, and harness or booster car seats.
Shoppers have until October 4 to redeem this deal.
