Hurts tossed two touchdowns on the day, both to tight end Dallas Goedert.

Running back Saquon Barkley also found the endzone on the new-look play.

The Eagles have been criticized for employing the Tush Push, a goalline play that see his offensive line pile in behind Hurts to gain a yard.

On Sunday, the Eagles faked out the Bucs with a pair of quarterback sneak fakes.

Hurts lined up on first-and-goal as if he was going to employ the push.

But he then passed it underhand to Goedert, who waltzed into the endzone behind a caravan of blockers.

The Eagles would later employ the same tactic, with Barkley this time the one to profit with the score.

“It’s an exciting play,” Eagles coach Nick Sirianni told reporters after the win, which sent his team 4-0.

“Makes it pretty exciting, right? It seems like fans like the play.

“It was pretty exciting today to get a touchdown pass off it, or two runs that come off of it, to make that play what it is.”

“I was really happy we got it called,” Goedert added.

“I think we put it in about four years ago, maybe five, when the staff first got here, and it worked to perfection.”

The Green Bay Packers submitted a proposal to ban the Tush Push this offseason.

NFL owners voted on the issue, with the Packers falling short by two votes.
