CHICAGO BEARS head coach Ben Johnson was slammed by NFL fans after a confrontational interview with CBS reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala.
Johnson, 39, spoke to Kinkhabwala, 47, during Sunday’s half-time interval with the Bears losing 14-9 against the Las Vegas Raiders at the Allegiant Stadium.
The reporter suggested Chicago‘s “offense has struggled” and was interrupted by the visitors’ coach who said: “They haven’t done anything, you’re right.”
Kinkhabwala replied: “So, what did you tell them to get things going?”
Johnson responded: “That wasn’t our brand of football.
“We’re capable of a lot more and so we’re hitting the reset button here at half-time and we’re going to come back and establish our identity here in the second half.”
Kinkhabwala continued: “Do you need to change what you’re doing?”
That was when Johnson gave her a cold stare that lasted for a few moments.
And the Bears coach said: “I don’t know. You think so? We’re going to be just fine.”
Fans were left completely unimpressed with Johnson and stormed social media.
One NFL enthusiast tweeted: “Absolutely immature by him. Aditi deserves better.”
Another commented: “He was completely out of line for that.”
A third wrote: “That Ben Johnson interview didn’t sit right with me.”
This fan said: “I don’t like this one bit from Ben Johnson with the reporter Aditi.”
And that one posted: “The Ben Johnson death stare at the end is wild.”
Nevertheless, Johnson got the Bears to fight back with a stunning 25-24 victory in Las Vegas.
