NFL officials have announced a significant change to their 2025 broadcast schedule.
CBS are set to make a major adjustment after just four weeks of NFL action.

The league has decided to flex its first fixture of the 2025 season on October 12.
It has been revealed that the New England Patriots‘ visit to face the New Orleans Saints has been pushed into an early slot.
This game was due to take place at 4:25 pm ET.
Instead, it has been pushed into the 1:00 pm kickoff slot.
The San Francisco 49ers‘ away game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take its place.
This was originally scheduled for the earlier kickoff.
It is understood that this decision has been made because of the teams’ current forms.
The Saints are winless after four games and sit at the bottom of the NFC South.
Additionally, the Patriots have claimed just two wins from their opening four games.
Meanwhile, both the 49ers and Buccaneers have claimed three wins and one loss from their season start.
This means there is expected to be more national attention on this game as both sides top their respective divisions.
Both games are set to be broadcast on CBS.
Strangely, this decision has been made in part because of an injury to a player from an entirely different team.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow remains out of action after sustaining a turf toe injury.

The 28-year-old’s absence means that there will be less interest in the Bengals’ Week 6 clash.
They are set to play against the 2-1-1 Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
This game is also due to be distributed by CBS with a 4:25 pm ET kickoff.
It is understood that this game would have been CBS’ primary national focus if Burrow had been fit.
Instead, the Bengals are set to be relegated to a more selective television distribution.
This will free up airspace for the network to prioritise the 49ers-Buccaneers game.
