NICOLE Kidman has filed for divorce from Keith Urban after she attempted, but failed, to save their marriage.
The country singer was reportedly the one who first pulled the trigger, and separated from the Oscar-winner when the famous couple first parted ways in June.
Just one day after reports became public that the pair had been separated since June, it was revealed that Nicole, 58, had filed for divorce.
It is not clear where exactly Nicole filed, as the couple shares homes together in Los Angeles, Nashville, and their native of Australia.
According to TMZ,
TMZ first broke the news about the split on Monday, sharing that insiders had revealed the Hollywood stars had taken a break from their marriage.
Sources told the outlet that Nicole, 58, and Keith, 57, who’ve been married since 2006, have been living separately “since the beginning of summer.”
They also revealed that their two children have been in Nicole’s care as the actress is “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.”
It’s unknown what led to the separation, but sources claim that it wasn’t Nicole’s idea, as she’s been wanting to save their relationship.
Insiders also said that “Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home.”
The pair resided with their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nicole is also a mom to two older children, whom she adopted during her marriage with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, 63.
