SIGNS are finally showing that Travis Kelce’s time as a star in the NFL is coming to an end.
After the worst statistical season of his career in 2024, Kelce‘s numbers have only gotten worse in 2025.

In 2024, Kelce finished the season with 823 yards and three touchdowns, both being career lows.
He is currently on pace to break his career lows once again.
Through the first four games of the NFL season, Kelce has caught just 15 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown.
Over a full season that would be 773 yards and four touchdowns.
The most damning statistic is Kelce’s snap count.
In Week 1, he was on the field for 84 percent of offensive snaps, a solid number.
In Week 4 against the Ravens, Kelce was on the field for just 66 percent of offensive snaps.
Head coach Andy Reid was asked about Kelce’s snap count in Week 4 and said that 66 percent was “probably a good area.”
There are multiple reasons why Kelce could be seeing a decline in snaps.
The most obvious of them being his age. At 36 years old, Kelce certainly needs more time to rest during games.
However, the other reason could be that the Chiefs have other tight ends who might be able to perform better than him right now.
So far this season, backup tight end Noah Gray has been on the field for 58 percent of offensive snaps.
That is rapidly approaching Kelce’s 74 percent across the first four games.
Reid is insisting that Kelce is still an important part of the offense, but also made sure to emphasize the fact that he is going to be on the bench plenty.
“He’s such a big part of it,” Reid said.

“Not only his effort, but just the mentality that he comes into these games with. He’s all in all the time.
“He gets mad at me, but it’s my job to make sure that we don’t get too many reps in there.
“We give him at least a blow here and there. He’d play every play if he had his choice.”
Kelce’s years of being the best tight end in the NFL are over, and he is going to have to get used to playing in a new role.
However, he is still Patrick Mahomes‘ best friend and favorite target, and he will get his chances when they come.
