AN update has been issued about Malik Nabers’ torn ACL, with the New York Giants star set to face a long recovery.
Nabers went down injured during the Chargers’ visit to the Giants in Week 4.

NFL Insider, Adam Schefter, reported on X that Nabers suffered an ACL tear, alongside other injuries.
He said, “Giants WR Malik Nabers is expected to undergo surgery this week for a torn ACL and a torn meniscus, while also allowing a partially torn labrum and turf toe to heal, per sources.”
Jordan Raanan, NFL Nations reporter, has since revealed that the receiver will miss the remainder of the season.
He wrote, “Malik Nabers expected to be back by the start of next season.”
The 22-year-old appeared to be in serious discomfort after an awkward leap and fall during the second quarter.
QB Jaxson Dart launched the ball down the right side of the field towards Nabers.
While jumping to try to catch the pass, Nabers was pictured in immediate discomfort, clutching at his knee.
He was carted off the field at MetLife Stadium.
Former Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. called out the NFL for player safety after the season-ending injury.
He is another person to weigh in on the turf vs grass debate as more and more injuries continue to occur.
Beckham Jr. wrote, “Dear @NFL, I mean this with the upmost love and respect,” Beckham wrote on X.
“We (The NFL) take all the precautions in the world with EVERYthing else when it comes to players ‘health’ and ‘safety’.
“PLZ. PLZ. PLZ. GET RID OF THE (angry expletive emoji) TURF.
“Thank you in advance. LUV.”

Nabers was a first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by New York, coming out of LSU.
The sixth overall pick made an instant impact, getting selected in the 2024 PFWA All-Rookie Team and for the Pro Bowl.
His 109 receptions equated to 1204 yards and nine touchdowns.
This broke the record for the most receptions by a wide receiver in a rookie season.
Unfortunately, though, he won’t feature again this season.
The Giants face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday before a quick turnaround for their Thursday Night Football game with the Philadelphia Eagles.
