AN INSTAGRAM influencer has died after undergoing a botched cosmetic eye surgery performed by a dentist.
Fashion stylist Adair Mendes Dutra Junior, known as Junior Dutra, was left with a deadly infection following a “fox eyes” operation in Brazil.

Dutra, 31, underwent the complex procedure back in March as he had threads inserted under the skin.
He had hoped the operation would lift the outer corners of his eyes to give them a more lifted shape.
But days after the surgery – which was reportedly performed by a dentist pretending to be a surgeon – Dutra started to develop a serious facial infection.
In images shared online, his entire face appears to be swollen, with several bruises visible around his eyes.
His friend Gean Souza said Dutra had been suffering from repeated infections and breathing difficulties in the weeks before his death.
Gean said: “He had been having infectious reactions and feeling discomfort since the procedure.
“Last Friday, the problem worsened.
“He felt very short of breath and was taken to the nearest emergency room at a public hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.”
He passed away at the age of 31 in a public hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on October 3.
Known for sharing fashion and beauty content with his 118,000 followers, Dutra had told fans he hoped to recover fully and return to work.
The cause of death has not yet been confirmed by doctors or the family.
His wake was held at the Funeral Velar Morumbi in Sao Paulo on Saturday, 4th October, before his body was cremated.
