SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Good morning KELOLAND! We are starting our Monday morning with snow in the northern Black Hills. This video was taken on our Terry Peak LIVE Camera around 6am and snow continues to fall at this location.

You can see the rain showers expanding from Nebraska early this morning. Sioux Falls will have a 20% chance of rain as this precipitation tracks to the northeast.
It’s finally feeling more like fall. Highs yesterday stayed in the 50s in much of western SD. Folks East River will be cooler today.

Precipitation totals have been spotty this weekend. Here are the 24 totals on the map below.

Clouds and chances of scattered showers will keep Sioux Falls cool this morning, but partly sunny skies will help warm temperatures into the low and mid 60s this afternoon.

Here’s a closer look at Futurecast. Notice temperatures stay in the 60s for most of us this afternoon, which is a little below normal for this time of year. Clearing skies tonight will bring lots of 30s overnight West River, so expect areas of frost to start Tuesday morning. Even spots outside of Sioux Falls will be in the 30s tomorrow morning. Temperatures will be mild tomorrow afternoon, mainly in the mid to upper 60s. Warmer weather is likely the rest of the week, with lots of days in the 70s expected. Very little rain is ahead, with only a 20% chance at the end of the forecast.
Here are the details of the forecast.
