Haliburton, 25, suffered a suspected ruptured Achilles.

ESPN said on the game broadcast that Haliburton’s dad John confirmed to them it was an Achilles issue.

The exact severity is not known at this stage.

But the seriousness of the injury was clear right away as Haliburton went to the floor.

It now puts his status for the start of the 2025-26 NBA season in doubt.

The 25-year-old drove to the basket with 4:55 left to play in the opening quarter of the game.

He collapsed to the ground after a non-contact injury and was seen screaming in agony.

Teammates rushed from the bench to huddle around him as he pounded the floor in pain and frustration.

A devastated Haliburton was then helped off court with a towel over his head.

The Pacers superstar put no weight on the leg as he left the arena.

Oklahoma City Thunder fans gave him a rousing ovation as he made his way off court.

Haliburton’s agony was compounded by a heartbreaking series result.

The Pacers were beaten 103-91 in Game 7 by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

They fell just shy of pulling off a huge upset during a see-saw Finals series.

Haliburton was seen on crutches outside the team locker room after the game.

He embraced his dejected teammates as they made their way back from the court.

Haliburton suffered a calf strain in Game 5 of the Finals but played through the pain barrier.

He acknowledged ahead of Sunday’s Game 7 that his leg was “still stiff” and “still sore.”

The 25-year-old cheered his teammates on throughout the game, even as they arrived back in the locker room leading 48-47 at halftime.

“That’s just who Ty is,” Pacers guard McConnell said.

“To go down like that, be selfless and just continuing to cheer for us.

“Even though he can’t play, I think that just speaks volumes to who Tyrese Haliburton is, one of the greatest human beings I’ve come in contact with.

“We are all devastated for him.”
