A Thai jewellery store owner filed a lawsuit against a lawyer for provoking a dispute and using vulgar language in the car park of a restaurant in Nonthaburi province near Bangkok.
Aticha Thangklang, owner of KK Luxury Gems, posted a video of the confrontation on his Facebook page on Monday, June 23. The incident occurred in the car park of a restaurant on Soi Samakkhi in the Tha Sai district of Nonthaburi. In the video caption, Aticha wrote…
“What’s the logic? I listened to his vulgar words with manners, haha. More details in the comment.”
In the comments, Aticha explained that the incident took place around 8pm on Sunday, June 22. He arrived at the restaurant, parked in a designated space as directed by staff, and then entered the premises with his family.
Roughly 10 to 15 minutes later, a member of staff asked him to return to the car park, where he encountered an angry couple. Aticha was still unaware of the issue when the man, later identified as a lawyer, began to berate him.

In the video, the couple’s car was parked over the line, and Aticha’s car was parked next to them. Aticha parked in the slot, leaving only a narrow gap. The lawyer can be heard shouting…
“I ordered you to move your car. You don’t need to say you parked in the slot. Look at the others. That car was parked over the line, so the next spot was left empty. You should have done the same. Don’t you have eyes?”
Aticha responded, maintaining he had parked correctly…
“Normally, motorists park within their slot, don’t they? I parked in my slot. Why are you making such a fuss?”
The lawyer retorted angrily…
“What the f*ck is a fuss? I did not. There’s no such norm.”

The lawyer’s wife, who was recording the incident on her phone, supported her husband, claiming that Aticha’s car was too close to hers, preventing her family from getting in their vehicle.
Despite the couple’s increasingly aggressive behaviour, Aticha remained calm and repeatedly asked them to lower their voices. He also alleged that the lawyer threatened him by pretending to pull a weapon from his car and concealing it behind his back.
Aticha eventually agreed to move his car to allow the couple to leave more easily. He added that he would have done so earlier had the couple not used vulgar language or wrongly placed blame on him.
After the incident, Aticha filed a complaint at Rattanathibet Police Station, accusing the lawyer of violating Section 393 of the Criminal Law: an offence covering actions that insult, despise, embarrass, or incite hatred toward another person. The offence carries a penalty of up to one month in prison, a fine of up to 10,000 baht, or both.

The video of the incident went viral on social media, with many netizens taking Aticha’s side.
“I would like to ask this uncle (the lawyer): if one driver parks over the line, should others follow? What’s the point of having lines then? You’ve clearly grown too comfortable with doing the wrong thing.”
“Grandpa (the lawyer) should have spoken politely.”
“He (the lawyer) could have just entered his car through another door and slid across to the driver’s seat. If he truly couldn’t do that, he simply needed to speak nicely.”
Many users praised Aticha for his calmness, saying they would have responded with vulgar language if faced with a similar situation.
