PICK ‘n Save, a discount retailer popular in Wisconsin, is planning to shut five stores around a key city.
The Milwaukee area will lose five stores as part of a broader shutdown by Pick ‘n Save’s parent company, Kroger.

Two are in the city of Milwaukee, while three are in surrounding areas, the company confirmed to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
CLOSING DOWN
The locations in Milwaukee are located at 3701 South 27th St. and 2355 North 35th St, the Journal Sentinel reported.
In South Milwaukee, the Pick ‘n Save at 2931 South Chicago Ave will shut.
A location in Glendale will shut, located at 1735 West Silver Spring Drive.
Oak Creek will lose its location at 2320 West Ryan Road.
The timing of the closures remains unclear.
Despite losing five stores, there will still be many Pick ‘n Save locations around the Milwaukee area.
Per data aggregator ScrapeHero, there are currently more than 80 Pick ‘n Save locations.
All of them are located in Wisconsin.
KRO NO
Nationwide, Kroger expects to shut approximately 60 stores over the next 18 months, the company revealed in financial documents.
It said it expects “modest financial benefit” from the shutdown.
“Kroger is committed to reinvesting these savings back into the customer experience,” the SEC filing said.
It also said that employees at impacted stores would be offered positions at remaining locations.
It’s not yet clear whether the closing Pick ‘n Save locations are counted in the 60 stores expected to shut.
Kroger did not immediately release a list of shutting locations.
The U.S. Sun reached out to the company for more information.
