NELLY and Ashanti faced cheating rumors just days before their new show dropped, as a woman claimed she had a sexual encounter with the rapper.
The couple, who previously dated on and off for over a decade in the early aughts, wed in late 2023 and Ashanti, 44, gave birth to their son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, in July 2024.

This week, just as their new reality show was set to air, a rumor began that the rapper had cheated on his Rock Wit U hitmaker wife[/caption]
This Instagram account started pushing a rumor that she had a sexual relationship with the rapper[/caption]
However, earlier this week, a person posting under the Instagram handle niyahhsymonee claimed to have had a dalliance with the rapper just weeks ago.
In a comment the Instagram user posted, she said: “He had me s*****ing two weeks ago,” along with four laughing emojis before she continued, “but to the internet they the perfect couple.”
The comment was shared widely by blogger Tasha K on her Unwine With Tasha K Instagram account.
However, in the comments, a woman, whose Instagram handle is angelantionette, said the original poster of the vulgar comment had stolen her photos.
The angelantionette account wrote: “Smh. This is a FAKE ACCOUNT USING MY PICTURES. Stop believing everything on the internet.”
She also responded to other people in comments who hit out at her employer, saying: “thats a fake account using my pictures.”
Upon inspection, the angelantionette account has existed since 2015, and has a variety of photos and story highlights dating back five years.
The account with the lurid claims has since been deleted.
The U.S. Sun reached out to both accounts.
WE BELONG (BACK) TOGETHER
The singers’ new show, Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together, airs on Peacock Thursday.
Ashanti and Nelly, 50, were in an on-and-off relationship for 10 years after first getting together in 2003, but they ultimately split in 2013, believing it was for good.
The Grammy-winning couple shocked fans when they confirmed their reunion a decade later.
Wasting no time, My Place hitmaker Nelly and Foolish star Ashanti tied the knot just three months after going public with their rekindled romance.
Last July, they welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Kareem Kenkaide, whom they affectionately call KK.

In comments a post by a blogger about the lurid allegations was a woman who said her account was being used to catfish people and spread the rumor[/caption]
The woman, who appears to be a nurse, also responded to some commenters who were calling out her place of work, explaining her photos were being used in the ruse[/caption]
The fake account that pushed out the rumor that they had a tryst with Nelly (pictured) was deleted by Thursday morning[/caption]
Ashanti recently shared details about the moment Nelly proposed after their reconciliation, admitting her “jaw hit the floor.”
Appearing on the Tamron Hall Show, she said: : “When he did it I had on his T-shirt and some boxers… I was in bed, it was so not cute! My hair was in a bun.
“But it was ‘us’. We were home in St Louis and my jaw hit the floor, I couldn’t believe it.”
Sharing Nelly’s response to her reaction, Ashanti continued: “He was like, ‘well, are you gonna answer? Yes or no?’”
It’s clear that Ashanti and Nelly are eager to show the world that their relationship is stronger than ever.
Reflecting on their split during a 2015 interview, Ashanti hinted at the heartbreak, saying: “I’ve been betrayed.”
“You just have to grow. You have to grow up. You have to accept responsibility for the things that you do. I’m not a big fan of people being cowards.”
