KATY Perry turned off her Instagram comments as she enjoyed some time off in Australia after splitting from Orlando Bloom.
Earlier this week The Sun revealed Katy, 40, had told friends her relationship with actor Orlando, 48, is over.
While he jetted to Italy for Jeff Bezos’ wedding – where he was seen cosying up to Kim Kardashian – Katy remained in Australia, where she is on tour, with daughter Daisy, four.
The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker took to Instagram to share snaps from her downtime, including one of her smiling next to a cute animal.
But Katy also disabled comments on Instagram, stopping fans from being able to share their thoughts on her and Olando’s split.
Yesterday Orlando was seen gathering with guests including Kim, 44, and her sister Khloe, 41, in Italy ahead of Jeff’s wedding to Lauren Sanchez.
Katy won’t be part of the wedding celebrations – despite cutting a striking figure in a see-through top at Lauren’s Hen – as she is on tour.
While in Italy, Orlando was also seen getting close to a mystery woman and was pictured with his arm around her.
A source close to Katy and Orlando told The Sun this week: “Katy confided in friends at the start of the year that their relationship was as good as done.
“They decided to hold off on announcing anything in case things improved between them, because they are desperate to stay together for the sake of their daughter.
“But they have spent barely any time together this year, with Katy on tour and Orlando working on his upcoming film Bucking Fastard in Dublin.
“She knew that taking off her engagement ring would send a clear message.
“It’s been a hard year so far. They wanted to wait until the tour is over before they made their split official, although Katy has grown tired of the situation.”
The couple started dating in 2016 and got engaged three years later.
