HUNDREDS of thousands of Americans are set to receive a one-time payment in the coming weeks and months.
The relief package, which is being funded by a $258 million pot, will see residents receive up to $1,000.

And, it will benefit homeowners and renters, who paid property tax and rent, are between the ages of 18 and 64 and are disabled.
Payments will range from $380 to $1,000, according to the terms of the rebate program.
The amount a person receives depends on their income.
Those who earn up to $8,270 will pocket the maximum $1,000 payment, according to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Revenue.
Checks worth $770 will be issued to residents who earn between $8,271 and $15,110.
Americans with an income of $15,511 to $18,610 will receive a payment worth $460.
But, those earning between $18,611 and $46,520 are in line for a $380 check.
It’s possible that some residents will receive supplemental payments, which provides a helping hand.
Supplemental checks are reserved for those who need it most.
The additional payments are worth between $190 and $500, but they are reserved for residents in Philadelphia, Scranton and Pittsburgh.
Americans can apply for the payments either online, by sending a postal application, or in person.
Checks will arrive either via direct deposit or in the mail.
Americans can check their status of their rebate by using an online tool, or calling the state’s Department of Revenue.
It’s not too late for residents to apply for a check.
The deadline to apply for the program is December 31.
But, there are four pieces of evidence that residents need to share as part of the application process.
They need to share proof of age. This could be a copy of a birth certificate, driving license, or passport.
They need to share proof of income as well as evidence that they paid taxes.
Around 425,000 people in Pennsylvania are set to receive the payment, as per the ABC affiliate WHTM-TV.
Governor Josh Shapiro described the program as a “lifeline” for locals.
Pennsylvania is not the only state sending out rebates and payments to residents.
Checks worth $500 are being sent out to taxpayers in Georgia.
