CBS is shaking up its daytime lineup once again, and soap fans aren’t thrilled.
The network has announced that The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful will both move to new time slots this month as part of a broader schedule change.

Viewers who have followed these iconic soap operas for years will need to adjust their routines starting Monday, July 7.
The shift is due to the expansion of 10 Tampa Bay Midday, a local news and weather program that will now run for a full hour from 12pm to 1pm, instead of its previous 30-minute slot.
This change has created a ripple effect throughout CBS’s daytime schedule, forcing several shows – including the long-running soaps – to slide into later time slots.
Until now, The Young and the Restless aired at 12:30pm, followed by The Bold and the Beautiful at 1:30pm.
But with the new lineup, The Young and the Restless will now air from 1pm to 2pm, while The Bold and the Beautiful has been pushed back to 3pm to 3:30pm.
Beyond the Gates, a newer addition to the CBS daytime slate, will take the 2pm to 3pm slot, and Great Day Live will follow at 3:30pm.
This isn’t the first time CBS has rearranged its daytime schedule, which has only added to fan frustration.
Back in December 2024, the network restructured its morning and afternoon lineups, a move that had already altered the soap operas’ regular slots.
Before Beyond the Gates premiered, its 2pm time was filled by The Price Is Right, according to TVShowsAce.
Despite the latest shake-up, CBS has confirmed that The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful will continue to air Monday through Friday.
For those who miss the live broadcasts, both shows are also available to stream on Paramount+.
While fans will still get their daily dose of drama, the constant rescheduling has left many feeling frustrated.
Some viewers have taken to social media to express their annoyance at having to chase their favorite soaps around the schedule yet again.
One wrote on a Reddit forum: “That’s so annoying for Florida residents!”
Another worried fan asked: “Will this be for everywhere or just Tampa?”
A third confirmed: “Seems like just local because it referenced changes in December 2024 leading to the current time but those times have been the time for as long as I can remember.”
