A HUGE Hollywood actor has revealed he’s quietly quit acting after not working for three years and has “no intention” of returning.
The 80-year-old film star is known for roles in movies including Basic Instinct and Fatal Attraction – a career that’s earned him two Academy Awards and five Golden Globes.

But Michael Douglas has confessed that – after a three-year break – it would take “something special” to draw him back to work.
He said: “I have not worked since 2022 purposefully because I realized I had to stop.
“I had been working pretty hard for almost 60 years, and I did not want to be one of those people who dropped dead on the set.”
Speaking at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, he added: “I have no real intentions of going back. I say I’m not retired because if something special came up, I’d go back, but otherwise, no.”
Michael also confessed his decision was partially down to wanting to “maintain a good marriage”.
He is married to actress Catherine Zeta Jones and the couple are considered one of Hollywood’s golden couples after tying the knot in 2000.
Michael recently left TV viewers covering their faces in shock, when he revealed the secret of his marriage to Catherine.
During an interview with US show The View, the esteemed actor talked about the couple’s love of golf.
When asked what Catherine makes him do when he loses, Michael shocked the hosts with his cheeky response.
“What does she make you do when you lose to her?” asked co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin.
Michael responded: “Whip it out.”
As the hosts laughed, the actor continued: “She says, ‘You’ve gotta whip it out.’
“Drop the trou and whip it out.
“That’s the secret to a marriage.”
