The wide receiver and return specialist has played his entire NFL career with the Cowboys.
He signed a three-year contract with the team in 2022.
And this offseason he put pen to paper on a three-year contract extension worth $13.5 million.
The 28-year-old has been named to the Pro Bowl twice as a special teams player.
He also has two receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in his career so far.
But Turpin had to wait for his NFL break after an incident while he was in college.
The receiver was kicked off the TCU Horned Frogs team in 2018 after being accused of domestic violence.
He pleaded guilty the following year to assault charges relating to an incident involving his girlfriend.
Turpin went undrafted in 2019 and didn’t play football again until 2021.
He played for the FCF Glacier Boyz in the Fan Controlled Football League that year.
And in 2021 he also played for the Sea Lions in The Spring League and the Polish-based Panthers Wroclaw in the European League of Football.
Turpin appeared for the New Jersey Generals in the 2022 USFL season.
He was named the league’s Most Valuable Player and that earned him a chance with the Dallas Cowboys.
Turpin scored a 99-yard kick return touchdown against the Washington Commanders last season.
He led the league in kickoff return yards in 2024.
