The FTC further says that the organisation threatened to sue customers who complained or notified the Better Business Bureau.
Roca Labs is the marketer behind the Roca Labs Formula or “Gastric Bypass Alternative.”
Those affected are set to receive portions of a $400,000 sum, News Nation has reported.
At least 7,481 payments amounting to more than $409,000 will go to Roca Labs customers.
In order to be eligible for a refund, those affected must send their FTC forms by October 7, 2025.
The the mailing date for these payments has not yet been finally decided.
However, the FTC has said it will post the date on its website once this has been set in stone.
The sum included in each payment will vary, depending “on several factors”, the FTC has added.
Each check would come to around $55 if the money were evenly divided across the 7,481 payments.
Anyone who receives a check is encouraged to cash it within 90 days – and PayPal recipients should accept within 30 days.
It comes as many Americans are in line to get a payout from a $3.4 million settlement.
This settlement benefits those who had a FuboTV account or used someone else’s FuboTV account in the US at any time before May 29, 2025.
According to the lawsuit, it violated the federal Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) by sharing user data with third parties.
FuboTV has not admitted any wrongdoing, but it has nonetheless agreed to a $3.4 million settlement.
Each claimant will get an equal share of the settlement fund.
