Allapattah, Miami: A quiet Sunday morning turned tragic in the Allapattah neighborhood when two people were found dead in a parking lot. Police believe it was a murder-suicide involving a man and a woman who used to be in a relationship.
What Happened
The incident happened around 7:40 a.m. on Sunday near NW 23rd Street and NW 18th Court. Police say someone called 911 after hearing gunshots. When officers got to the scene, they found a man and a woman lying on the ground in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
Both had been shot. Sadly, they were both already dead by the time help arrived.
Police Believe It Was Domestic Violence
After checking security cameras and talking to people nearby, investigators believe the man shot the woman, then took his own life. They say the two were previously in a relationship, but are still trying to understand exactly what led to the violence.
