He was shut down by the San Antonio Spurs for the remainder of the season.
Wemby returned to his team early from the All-Star Break in February.
The Spurs were hopeful of a September return for their French superstar.
But he spoke to French outlet L’Equipe and gave a massive update.
“I’m officially cleared to return,” he said.
“It just happened. I got the green light from the Spurs’ medical staff.
“I’ll finally be able to play a bit of basketball again.”
The news is a huge relief for Wembanyama after the worrying diagnosis threatened his NBA career.
He has been cleared to return to basketball three months ahead of schedule.
The 21-year-old has been away in the Far East recently.
He had a 10-day stay at a temple in China, where he trained with monks.
Wembanyama remained isolated for large spells as he focused on his recuperation and all-round well-being.
When he was spotted at a famous Buddhist monastery in central China, he managed to both stand out and look unrecognisable.
Wembanyama’s head was shaved and he wore grey robes, while he also took part in prayers at the Shaolin Temple in Henan province.
But he was in more familiar training gear when he jogged in a forest.
And the French forward also enjoyed a vacation in Japan afterwards.
Wembanyama is back on US soil after his trip to Asia and home to France.
He was at the NBA Summer League at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The 21-year-old also ran into LeBron James backstage.
James was in attendance to watch his son Bronny play in the tournament.
