Fox Sports North’s Audra Martin regularly works as a sideline reporter for the Minnesota Twins.

But during a game earlier this month, Martin was hit in the abdomen by a foul ball.

The reporter later gave an update on Instagram about the result of the damage the ball did to her body.

Martin posted side-by-side photos of her midsection.

The picture displayed her bruises on the first day after the occurrence.

The next snap showed ‘five days later’ as it showed even more bruising and swelling.

“Ever wondered what a line drive foul ball to the gut looks like??” the caption read.

“Thankfully I’m kinda squishy in the midsection… That’s probably the only time I’ve ever said that!”

Fans were stunned by Martin’s injury and sent her best wishes in the comments.

“Oh my goodness that looks painful! But you’re tough, girl!!!” one wrote.

“Dammmmnnnnn take care of yourself. Get a glove that would be cute on camera,” another said.

“Holy moly! You forgot to duck!!!” a third added.

Martin’s visible mark on her stomach will likely take several weeks to disappear.

She joined Fox Sports’ Minnesota affiliate in October 2015.

The broadcaster also works for the NHL‘s Minnesota Wild.

Martin has a history of an injury scare in the past with a batted ball headed her way.

In 2017, she reportedly used her notebook to deflect a foul ball.

Martin should feel lucky – she could’ve suffered fractured ribs or a hip injury if the batted ball had hit her a few inches higher or lower.

She will be back working her typical Twins reporting duties when the MLB team goes on the road to face the Colorado Rockies on Friday night.
