Nick Sirianni furious over latest Jalen Hurts debate as Philadelphia Eagles head coach calls out controversial remarks

PHILADELPHIA Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has scolded those who continue to criticize his quarterback, Jalen Hurts.

Hurts helped the Eagles claim the Super Bowl 59 victory back in February.

Hurts earned Super Bowl MVP thanks to his efforts during the 40-22 big game win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

However, NFL fans believe the Eagles’ success is due to the team’s offensive line and playmakers, and not Hurts.

Sirianni didn’t hold back on his thoughts on the narrative.

“Yeah that’s bull****. Anytime, I hear that, it’s cool, it’s like a nice debate thing that people like to have,” Sirianno told a reporter.

“And I get it, there’s a lot of hours that TV shows and radio shows have to fill to be able to fill that debate.

“I understand that, but we’re talking about the ultimate team game there is, and he does whatever he needs to do to win each and every game.”

Hurts is coming off a solid season.

In 15 games, he completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 2,903 yards along with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Hurts’ counting numbers don’t jump off the charts as his yards per game ranked 26th.

But his 103.7 quarterback rating ranked fifth in the league.

Hurts also posted 630 rushing yards and a league-leading 12 rushing touchdowns.

During this past Super Bowl, he completed 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

Hurts also ran for the most rushing yards by a quarterback in a Super Bowl with 72.

The 26-year-old has two Pro Bowl nods on his resume.
