The new toy, called a Digital Pet, is very similar to the Tamagotchis we were all obsessed with.
The buy is just $1.25 and comes in two colors, red and blue.
Taking to social media, Kimberly Mich shared the buy she found in the store.
She wrote: “Omg hello nostalgia!!!
“Millennials run to Dollar Tree for this adorable Tamagotchi pet toy for only $1.25!“
It seems that many people are eager to get their hands on the toy as one took to the comments of Kimberly’s TikTok video asking about it.
They said: “I’ve been on the hunt but no luck yet. Where in store did you find this?”
If you’ve been scanning the shelves up and down like this eager shopper you won’t have spotted it.
The toy is currently being stocked near the checkout line, so you’ll have to head there to grab it.
Taking to Reddit, another thrilled customer wrote: “Found the Dollar Tree “Tamagotchi” at my local store today. They were keeping them by the register.
“It comes with two batteries, and that alone is worth the $1.25, even if the pet isn’t that good.”
The toy can be set up to have over 100 different animals, according to the poster.
They added: “It has over 100 pets to choose from, some of them humans, some of them ripped directly from Tamagotchi and Digimon machines, and some of them are characters from other things.
“I think one is Garfield, and they have strange ones like shrimp, and a hedgehog.”
One person wrote: “As a kid when I was too poor for a name brand Tamagotchi, I bought one called dino egg (not dinkie dino) from the dollar store. Very fond memories with it, and led me to collect ‘real’ tamas as an adult.”
Another commented: “I have this. I love it. I think it has a Spongebob and Patrick tama??? Not sure.”
Meanwhile a third said: “I’m so bummed about these. They were bought in bulk at every local location, and scalped online.
“I was able to snag a few, and gave them to kids that were in my section. For a brief moment I was the coolest waitress ever.”
