They have been compared to Trader Joe’s Hold The Cone desserts[/caption]
The budget supermarket is now selling Sundae Shoppe Tiny Cones – and they come in two tasty flavors.
Their latest sweet treat is drawing crowds, with fans snapping up the affordable alternative in two tasty flavors: chocolate and strawberry.
One shopper excitedly took to Facebook saying: “I found these at Aldi! Sundae shoppe tiny cones”.
The bite-size snack looks remarkably similar to Trader Joe’s Hold the Cone desserts, which come in a range of flavors, from coffee bean to peppermint.
Each Mini sugar Cone is “lined with a rich, chocolatey coating to help ensure maximum ‘cone life’”, and then is filled with ice cream.
Many people seemed highly impressed with the Aldi alternative, with one saying: “I was at Aldi a couple of hours ago and got these!!”
Another added: “We have these!! So yummy!”
And a third commented: “I really enjoyed the chocolate ones.”
SUSHI STEAL
It’s not the first time Aldi has brought out a product that is similar to one at the rival competitor.
Aldi has released its own Kimbap, a Korean sushi that has been driving shoppers mad at Trader Joe’s.
The new fully-cooked Kimbap can be found in the frozen aisle right now, just as shoppers began to run out of places to find it.
It comes in two flavors, Traditional and Tuna Mayo, both selling as eight hand rolled pieces costing $3.49 each.
The Traditional option has been called a “Korean-style imitation crab, egg, carrots, spinach, and pickled daikon in a seaweed rice roll.”
While the Tuna Mayo has been described as “Tuna mayo & perilla leaf in a seaweed rice roll.”
