In the viral clip she explained that they dots are on many items across the store, from stationary to gardening tools.
The reason? They apparently signal that the item has recently gone up in price.
In the video, the shopper pro showed some floral supplies that had gone up in price from $1.25 to $1.75.
“Same thing with these storage organizers,” she continued, “these are marked red and they are $1.50.”
It was the same story with multiple items around the store, including dinosaur Magic Towel, which had gone up to $1.50.
“These are great for stocking stuffers but I don’t know if they’re worth it anymore,” she said.
Shockingly, all of the cleaning supplies the the store all had the red dot, meaning they’d also cost more from now on.
After sharing the video online fellow Dollar Tree fans weren’t so happy about the price hikes.
One said: “It’s gonna hurt business.”
And a second fumed: “It’s the tariffs at work.”
Meanwhile, someone else said: “Because items cost more, we go to the tree to save money. Not to spend more money to get the same thing. It’s sad. I hope it’s not the beginning of the end.”
Others even said the stickers marked the end of their loyalty to the stores.
“I haven’t walked in a dollar tree since I saw these dots in my store and probably won’t go back in either,” one said.
“Just do not buy them, might as well buy good them at a better store. Simple,” someone else wrote.
