There are was large police presence on East 69th Street near Sioux Falls Christian Thursday evening. The city’s police log says there was an assault in the area around 9 p.m.. One of our KELOLAND photographers said there were five police cars on scene.
President Trump signed the HALT Fentanyl Act into law on Wednesday. It closes a loophole for copycat fentanyl, a lab-created drug made to get around U.S. law. Now that the bill has passed, nonprofits like Emily’s Hope say this is another tool law enforcement can use.
It has been a little over a year since flooding in northwest Iowa left behind devastating damage at the fairgrounds in Rock Rapids, Iowa. After having to move the fair elsewhere last year, the Lyon County Fair will be back in Rock Rapids this summer.
