NO party is complete without balloons, but spending hours blowing them up yourself can get tiresome pretty quickly.
That’s why having an electric pump to hand is a must – and you don’t have to break the bank to get your hands on one.

Shoppers shamed Dollar Tree’s recent price hikes[/caption]
Although you might think somewhere like Dollar Tree would have the best deals on items like balloon pumps, there are cheaper options out there.
One shopper whizz recently took to Facebook to compare the price of identical balloon pumps, and it turns out Amazon is way cheaper.
While the pink and blue electric pump will set you back an eye-watering $17 from Dollar Tree, it’s significantly less if you order from Amazon.
The Dual Nozzle Air Pump is currently just $14.89 from Amazon – perfect if you’re on the hunt for a bargain.
“This easy-to-use balloon pump automatically stops when balloons reach full capacity, removing manual shutdown needs.
“Its optimized airflow delivers fast inflation while preventing overexpansion and bursting,” the product description notes.
Thanks to the “practical dual-nozzle design” you can inflate multiple balloons at once too, saving time and money.
“Simply attach your balloon and choose your inflation mode! This electric balloon pump fits latex balloons and decorative balloons,” the description adds.
After one savvy shopper shared the price difference on Facebook people couldn’t believe how much more expensive Dollar Tree worked out.
One said: “Greed will be their downfall. One employee told me she’s already looking around for a new job because they won’t last.
“Lower income people don’t count anymore… they are upgrading to upper middle class and middle class.”
A second agreed: “Did you say $17 at Dollar Tree!? The downward spiral has begun for them.”
Meanwhile others said Dollar Tree doesn’t fit it’s name anymore, “They need to change their name,” one person wrote.
This comes as Dollar Tree recently confirmed that a price switch-up is quietly being rolled out at the chain’s thousands of US spots, forcing customers to shell out more cash for the same products.
As the discount giant marks up its prices once again, employees have revealed that more cost jumps are on the way – just look for the warning sign.
Dollar Tree, formerly named Only $1.00, originally started with a fixed price of just $1 per item.
After 35 years at that price, the chain jumped to selling items for $1.25 in 2021, also announcing it would expand merchandise to include $3 and $5 items.
Dollar Tree has continued bumping up its prices, with stores increasing their base price from $1.25 to $1.50 for some items, also raising the maximum price to $7.
Dollar Tree pricing

Despite the name of the store, Dollar Tree recently added items that cost more than $1 to its inventory.
Most items at the store cost no more than $1.25, but items in the Dollar Tree Plus section cost up to $5.
Dollar Tree introduced Plus aisles to 100 locations in 2019 as part of an effort to diversify its products.
By 2022, Dollar Tree had added the items to over 1,500 locations.
“We believe testing additional price points above $1 for Dollar Tree products will enable us over time to expand our assortments, introduce new products and meet more of our customers’ everyday needs,” president and CEO Michael Witynski said in a statement.
“Our brand promise is that customers get great value for what they spend at Dollar Tree. We will continue to be fiercely protective of that promise, regardless of the price point.”
