SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A man allegedly fired a round of ammunition with an AR-15 rifle and was seen with multiple weapons by neighbors near 69th Street and Tanner Avenue Thursday evening.
Joshua Nour, 42, from Sioux Falls was taken into custody and charged of reckless use of a weapon and disorderly conduct. By the time police arrived, Nour was unarmed. He claimed he had been threatened by other men in the neighborhood who were inside a specific residence, police said at Friday’s briefing.
Upon further investigation, the address the man told police was found to be a vacant property.
Witnesses told police Nour lived in the neighborhood and was seen pointing his weapon at other homes. Nour told police he did arm himself after the threats, but said he didn’t fire his weapon.
Police spokesman Aaron Benson said based on the totality of the circumstances and the witness statements, Nour was arrested.
After some time, a search warrant of Nour’s home revealed he had many weapons inside.
