TAREK El Moussa and his wife, Heather, have dropped $5.2 million on a massive Orange County mansion and over $32,000 on renovations before their HGTV show was canceled.
Tarek, 43, and Heather, 37, starred on The Flipping El Moussas for two seasons before HGTV axed the series in a network purge.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal Tarek and Heather purchased a $5.2 million mansion in Newport Beach, California while also dropping thousands on renovations.
Tarek and Heather purchased the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home on February 3, 2025 for $5,162,500.
The home is one story and has light-colored hardwood flooring throughout.
There are modern floor to ceiling cabinets in the hallway leading to the kitchen, which Heather said in an Instagram video that she will use as a pantry.
The kitchen has the same light-brown cabinets with a black backsplash.
The kitchen also features a waterfall island with gray marble, stainless steel appliances and a window above the sink.
The dining area overlooks the landscaped backyard, which boasts an in-ground pool, jacuzzi and patio area.
Heather explained in an Instagram video that they plan to add a fire pit and sauna as well.
The first floor also features two cozy fireplaces.
The master bedroom has a private outdoor area and a massive walk-in closet that Heather is renovating.
Heather posted a video of the process, as she consulted with a designer on how to make more space for shoes and purses.
She ended up choosing a black wood and dark gray glass for the design.
The bathrooms have gray countertops and tile with blue cabinets.
Heather said the blue in the bathrooms is “not her vibe,” as they plan to renovate the bathrooms.
She will leave one of the bathrooms blue for their two sons to share.
Heather said on Instagram of the home, “We fell in love with this house because of how open it is. When we walked in it was just high ceilings and open.”
Tarek and Heather moved into the home officially on July 2 with their family.
They share son Tristan, 2, and Tarek is dad to Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, with his ex-wife Christina Haack.
With all of the renovation ideas, the couple plans to drop over $32,000.
According to permits exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, Tarek filed for a demo of three bedrooms and two of the bathrooms for a total cost of $15,000.
A structural change to the walls are setting the couple back $1,966.
Adding a solar panel system to the mansion is $11,206.
Another permit to add sprinkler systems to the home to prevent fires costs $3,800.
In a final permit, a retaining wall is $1,000.
The couple moved into the home in July.

The expense comes after The Flipping El Moussas was canceled by TLC after two seasons.
There has been no word yet on Tarek’s other spinoff Flipping 101.
The Flip Off with his ex-wife Christina Haack has been greenlit for season two.
Christina’s show Christina on the Coast was also canceled, while there has been no word yet on Christina in the Country.
The exes found fame on the network on Flip or Flop, which aired on HGTV for 10 seasons.

STRANGE TIKTOK LIVES
Tarek has been sparking concern with his TikTok live videos.
In one of the hours-long videos, Tarek discussed the 2016 incident, which occurred shortly before his breakup with his then-wife Christina.
Tarek filed for divorce from Christina in January 2017.
Speaking about the gun incident in one of his recent live videos, Tarek said, “And I had a permit, and I did nothing wrong. I did nothing illegal. I didn’t get in trouble.
“I still got all my guns and it’s all bulls**t. So, does that answer your questions?”
He went on, “And also, I used to drive around in my car with my gun. I used to walk around the neighborhood with my gun.
“Why? I had a concealed carry permit. Why do you think I took it hiking? Right? Does anybody know what a CCW is?”
He later added, “Did something happen to my guns? No. Right there. And the rest of them, they’re my safes, every single one.”
In May 2016, TMZ, citing law enforcement, reported that police had responded to a call of a man with a gun.
E! News then obtained a report that claimed Christina “was crying and shaking” when authorities arrived.
The report also said Tarek “took a handgun, put it in his backpack and ran outside.”
Fans on Reddit have been speculating if Tarek is okay after his concerning videos, as they even worried he could be having financial troubles.

One person said, “He has been on TikTok live nonstop lately. Maybe this isn’t new and I have just now noticed but it pops that he is live on my FYP a lot up. This just seems wild, are they desperate for money?”
Another wrote, “Maybe they are desperate for money, Heather’s been doing Shein ads and it’s just sad.”
“Yeah I get the vibe that they need the money too,” said another.
