The U.S. Sun can reveal that the former Teen Mom 2 star, who is the father of Jenelle Evans‘ 11-year-old son Kaiser, has begun his sentence in Nevada’s medium-security Southern Desert Correctional Center.
The Ashley’s Reality Roundup was first to report Nathan’s prison transfer.
The troubled reality star was sentenced to up to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty to domestic battery by strangulation charges stemming from an April arrest.
His expected release date is currently listed as May 29, 2027, though he could be released after 14 months for good behavior.
As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, Nathan was handcuffed for physically attacking his 21-year-old girlfriend Anastasia Biddle on the night of April 23.
The arrest was also found to violate his probation, after he was found guilty of domestic battery by strangulation in July 2023.
As The U.S. Sun reported, Nathan was arrested for attacking his sister Heather at her Las Vegas home in a harrowing incident.
“He tried to kill me, his own sister,” Heather told The U.S. Sun after Nathan’s 2023 arrest.
EMOTIONAL COURT HEARING
Nathan was sentenced to prison as friends and family members watched in an emotional May court date.
His on-again, off-again wife, May Oyola, and his sister Heather were in the room as he faced his fate. (Nathan and May now appear to be back together after his latest arrest.)
“Nathan pleaded for leniency, but the judge said he had been in her courtroom too many times for that,” an onlooker exclusively told The U.S. Sun.
“The judge told him, ‘You are a danger to others and you’re going to kill someone.’
“Nathan was really tearful and remorseful.
“Everyone was crying, it was a really hard experience.”
Nathan served time in the Marines in the past, and has said he suffers from PTSD and a Traumatic Brain Injury due to his service.
He has gone to rehab numerous times as he struggles with a substance abuse disorder.
Jenelle and Nathan split soon after Kaiser’s birth in 2014, and Jenelle has claimed he rarely sees their son, despite living in the same city.
Jenelle is now currently single and living with her three kids in Las Vegas.
Her son Jace, 15, recently reconnected with his estranged dad, Andrew Lewis.
